The difference your money can make

It costs £70,000 a year to keep Awutu-Winton Senior High School open. Your gift, big or small will help continue our work in Ghana.

Today, many young people in Ghana are excluded from education because of extreme poverty. Ghana remains an exceptionally poor country; around 7 million people live on less than $1.25 a day (Christian Aid). Unlike many of its neighbouring countries, schooling has to be paid for in Ghana after the age of 14, putting it out of the reach of over 50% of the population (UNICEF).

EDP Trust provides fee-free secondary education to the most disadvantaged students in Awutu-Bereku, an impoverished community in Ghana, West Africa.
