Ghana Education Service (GES)

Since September 2013 GES has been providing Awutu-Winton with state-funded teachers, relieving the charity of a huge financial burden.

Jei River Farms, Ghana

This farm, situated near the school, subsidises our school by supplying Abrofresh with fresh fair-trade pineapples at absolutely no cost!

Hampshire Business Computers, UK

Not only does HBC sponsor two students at the school, but the company has also been very generous with advice and expertise ever since the school project was conceived.

Education for the Children (EFTC), UK Charity

EFTC performs outstanding work in Guatemala, where it provides education and support to around 6000 youngsters from pre-school through university.

EFTC has given us invaluable help and guidance over the last four years.

Baffour Osei, Structural Engineer, Ghana

Despite running a very busy company of his own, Baffour has devoted so much of his time to Awutu-Winton for no financial reward over the last four years, finding contractors to carry out the building work and liaising with Martin Moore to oversee the quality of this work.

Fiorelli, UK

EDP has also enjoyed the support of this well-known handbag brand, which has provided many a prize for charity auctions, and financed the shipping of the afore-mentioned container out to Ghana.

Ghana National Service

Awutu-Winton also benefits from the services of some keen young teachers who, having just obtained their qualification, must complete one year’s National Service.

Edward Ansah, Auditor, Ghana

Our young and dynamic accountant and his wife Sandra have been staunch supporters of the school since it opened its doors to the first pupils. Eddie performs the annual audit and gives much advice, all for free and is always available to help and advise, and Sandra is invaluable for assistance on employment and visa matters.

Flextech Information &
Communications Technology, UK

Ross Jameson also is very supportive of the charity, giving his services free of charge and showing great patience with the Trustees’ lack of IT skills!

Martin Moore- Structural Engineer,
and John Burrell- Architect, UK

These two magnificent men have come out of their retirement to design and draw up the plans for every phase of construction.

All this they have done for free, because they believe in the project and want to see it succeed.

Capio Nightingale Hospitals,

UK

This hospital group sponsors a student at the school, and also generously donated a great deal of furniture which was shipped out in the first container.
